Pilgrim's gourd seeds (Lagenaria siceraria) 10 seeds

The Calabash Pilgrim is a vining gourd.

It bears 3 to 6 fruits per plant, 18 to 30 cm in diameter and 20 to 40 cm long.

As it dries, it takes on a hazelnut color, speckled with brown and rust.

This variety is ideal for decoration and the making of utensils.

Sowing: In April, sow in pots in a bright location (temperature 12°C). Transplant to a sunny spot in mid-May, spacing plants 1 m apart in all directions for non-vining varieties and 1.20 m apart within rows and 2 m between rows for vining varieties. Water regularly. Adding compost is recommended.

Open-pollinated seeds harvested exclusively from the Pot'à'Jo garden, a 1500m² market garden combining horticulture and permaculture. Everything is cultivated there with deep respect for nature and its inhabitants. I have been cultivating my own seeds, from seed to seed, for years.
