The Batavia Reine des Glaces lettuce produces a compact head with tender, crisp green leaves. Very sensitive to heat.
Medium-sized, compact, bright light green, tightly closed heads. Deeply lobed, thick, crisp, and refreshing leaves. Uniform ripening. Good resistance to bolting. For harvest from late spring to autumn. A variety highly prized by gardeners.
An essential vegetable, rich in vitamins, potassium, magnesium, with remineralizing and refreshing properties, indispensable for a healthy and balanced diet.
Spring head lettuces
Sowing: Sow thinly in February or March in a nursery bed or under a cold frame. Transplant when the seedlings have a few leaves, to a sunny location in fertile, humus-rich, and moist soil, spacing them 20 cm apart in all directions. Harvest approximately 2 months after sowing. -
