The Leviathan Scorpion is an extreme chili pepper that originated from an unknown cross with a "Scorpion Kraken" (Bhut Jolokia x Triniad Scorpion Chocolat). There are currently several variations of this pepper, but the one offered here is particularly long and slender. The fruits of the Leviathan Scorpion tend to be long and fairly straight with a wrinkled texture and turn red when ripe.
On the palate, its strength is brutal (+1,000,000 scovilles) like any extreme chili pepper, but its flavor is delicate and not fruity like that of Bhut jolokia. Like its ancestor, its production is generous, and the plants with dark foliage and purple flowers are particularly beautiful but also very resistant to disease.
Seed germination can be unpredictable if the temperatures are not optimal (+15°C night and +20°C day), and the fruits are quite late.
WARNING: do not forget to wear gloves even when sowing, as it is mainly seeds that have the highest scoville levels.
Reproducible seeds harvested exclusively in the Pot'à'Jo garden, a 1500m² horticultural and permaculture market garden. Everything is grown with a deep respect for nature and its inhabitants. I have been growing my own seeds for years, from seed to seed. -
