Cayenne Pepper Seeds (Capsicum annuum) 30 seeds

Cayenne pepper is a plant that belongs to the Solanaceae family.
This hot pepper is grown for its fruits with a particularly spicy flavor.
On the Scoville scale, it is ranked 8th out of 10, or around 50,000 Scoville units, which makes it a very hot pepper, just like the habanero pepper.

It is a small shrub that can grow up to 1 meter in height with elongated leaves.
Its flowers are white in summer.
The fruits, the peppers, are large and long, they can measure up to 25 cm in length. It is very early and productive.
Its seeds are yellow and resemble those of the love apple or the tomato tree.

The Aztecs were the first users of this pepper, preparing it with cocoa to make a drink that was supposed to give a lot of courage.
Christopher Columbus brought it back from the New World and its use spread throughout the world.
In cooking, this pepper is known for its spicy and burning taste.

In medicine it was used for the same properties as mallow, lemon balm or thyme).
Take a pinch of powder, honey and 25 ml of lemon diluted in hot water.
