An old Indian variety, producing delicious light green, oblong fruits, the size of a potato.
Sweet, crisp and juicy, they turn brown when ripe. An early, hardy and productive variety.
Maturity in 55 to 80 days.
Exposure: This variety of the cucurbit family prefers sunny locations and warmth. Consider training the stems to prevent moisture from settling on the fruit.
Sowing: Sow seeds from March to May. To get good seedlings, first sow 3 seeds per pot, then select the strongest seedlings to transplant. Remember to thin the seedlings from time to time and water regularly.
Harvest: from July to October.
Open-pollinated seeds harvested exclusively from the Pot'à'Jo garden, a 1500m² market garden combining horticulture and permaculture. Everything is cultivated there with deep respect for nature and its inhabitants. I have been cultivating my own seeds, from seed to seed, for years. -
