    Lemon catnip is a perennial aromatic plant, very melliferous with a strong lemon scent.

    Lemon catnip forms small tufts of green foliage about 20 to 30 cm in all directions and spikes of very pretty pinkish-white to mauve flowers in summer. Hardy, it is a must-have for sunny dry gardens.
    In cooking it is used to flavor salads, sauces, fish or in drinks.
    Lemon catnip also has an oil that repels insects and aphids.

    Growing lemon catnip:
    Lemon catnip grows in full sun or light shade, in calcareous and well-drained soil. It prefers rich and fresh soils, but is very resistant to drought. It is a hardy plant.

    Lemon catnip grows quite quickly, so you need to give it enough space in the garden: keep the plants 50 cm apart. Provide organic matter if your soil is too poor, as well as a few waterings after planting and during the summer. The aerial part disappears in winter, and the plant starts growing again from the base in spring.
