On the Scoville scale, their heat levels are similar, but there's a distinct difference in taste between the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion and the sub-variety Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Chocolate. The notable difference between these two varieties is a milder, less acidic flavor with smoky nuances and an earthy touch characteristic of "chocolate" peppers. But don't let this sweetness fool you, because this is still an extremely hot pepper with a sharp stinger ready to inject its venom into anyone who dares to come near it.
On the Scoville scale, its strength is between 1,500,000 and 2,000,000, making it one of the hottest peppers in the world, just behind the Carolina Reaper.
WARNING: Don't forget to wear gloves even when sowing seeds, it is mainly the seeds that have the highest Scoville rating.
