Leonurus sibiricus, commonly known as Marijuanilla or Siberian Motherwort, is a species of herbaceous plant native to Asia, originally in southern Siberia, Japan, China, Vietnam; nowadays it is also cultivated in the Chiapas region (Mexico) and in Brazil.

Leonurus sibiricus is an annual or biennial plant with a straight stem that reaches about 1 meter. The leaves are lanceolate, the flowers purple. Flowering generally occurs from July to the end of September, but under certain climatic conditions, flowering can occur all year round.

Leonurus sibiricus is known as "little marijuana".

The leaves, flowers and roots have been used for centuries in traditional medicine in Asia to relax.

Hindus smoke 1 to 2 grams of dried flowers and leaves per cigarette. They also mix Leonurus sibiricus with other herbs to induce a synergistic effect.

Its presence inhibits, for example, the germination of lettuce, corn and tomatoes but not that of garden cress or radish. On the other hand, its presence promotes the germination of rice, wheat and mustard.
